The Audi A5 has an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), as shown in the picture below, located beside the gear shift.

To release the parking brake, follow these steps:

  1. Push down on the button

  2. Switch the gear to D (Drive)

To engage the parking brake, follow these steps:

  1. Shift the gear to P (Park)

  2. Pull the button up
