There are two separate controls: a left lever and right knob, as shown on the pictures below.

The knob that is located on the right beside the steering wheel should always be left on “AUTO”. This means that the headlights would turn on automatically whenever it gets dark. It will turn off automatically when you drive into a bright area.

To activate the high-beam, pull the left lever here towards you for a quick flash and push it away from you to switch on high-beam mode.
