The Scenic is equipped with a push/pull button for the handbrake, as shown in the picture below.
The button is located below the gear shift and operates as follows:
- To release the handbrake, push down on the button. Then, shift the gear to D (Drive) and you're ready to go!
- To engage the handbrake, shift the gear to P (Park) and pull the button up. To ensure it's engaged, you'll see a corresponding indicator lit up on the dashboard.
