The Hyundai KONA Electric has a number of cool safety functions that's built into the car. 😎 Here's a couple which we find to be useful.
- Lane Keep Assist uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In case of an unintended lane departure, it will warn the driver and can apply counter steering torque to guide the car back to the lane.
- Blind-spot Collision Warning monitors the rear corners. If another vehicle is detected, a visual alert appears on the exterior mirrors. If the driver activates the indicators, an audible signal is emitted in lane change situations. If you hear short beeping sounds, it’s the car warning you of possible dangers, such as a vehicle in your blind spot or the car drifting from the lane. Similarly, if you change lanes without signalling, the car will beep as well.
