Where is the parking brake on the BMW X3 2nd Gen?

The BMW X3 2nd Gen has an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). It is located below the gear shift, as shown in the picture below.

To release the parking brake, follow these steps:

1. Push down on the button.
2. Switch the gear to D (Drive).

To engage the parking brake, follow these steps:

1. Shift the gear to P (Park).
2. Pull the button up
