How do I release and engage the parking brake in the Toyota C-HR?

The Toyota C-HR has a button parking brake. It is located at the center of the gear shifter, as shown in the image below. 

To release the parking brake, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the brake pedal.
2. Push down on the parking brake (P) button. 

To engage the foot parking brake, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the brake pedal.
2. Pull the (P) button up.
