There may be several reasons why a charging session won’t start or stop.
Mobile connectivity and app-related issues
The fix: Check your internet connection and ensure that you’ve installed the latest version of the GetGo app.
Charging cable issues
The fix: Make sure the charging cable is fully and securely inserted into the EV charging port.
If you're starting a new charging session:
- Unplug the charger.
- Check for any potential obstructions that might disrupt charging (i.e., fallen leaves stuck on the charging plug, broken plug, etc.).
- Plug in the charger.
Alternatively, you can charge at a different suggested charging lot.
Charging station issues
The fix: If the charging station is out of order, please charge at a different station. If you're returning your EV to its suggested charging lot and the charger is out of order, please return your EV to its home lot instead.
QR code or Station ID issues
The fix: Make sure you’ve scanned the correct QR code. If the QR code isn’t working, you can enter the Station ID manually.
Important:
- If you’re ending your booking and cannot charge your EV at its charging lot, please return it to its home lot regardless of its remaining battery level so that other drivers can use the charger.
- Parking at a charging lot without charging your EV is illegal and may incur a penalty.
