At GetGo, we have 2 CDW options — the Standard CDW and the Enhanced CDW.
To help you make the best choice for your needs, we've outlined the differences between our CDW options. Below is a table that compares the Total Excess you’d have to pay if you choose the Standard CDW, Enhanced CDW, or if you choose not to be covered by CDW at all.
Here’s a simple example that can help you understand CDW better:
Amanda is an experienced driver* who booked a Select category GetGo vehicle and opted in for the Enhanced CDW.
She meets with an accident. The table below shows how the Enhanced CDW will cover Amanda in this accident.
The table above shows how the Enhanced CDW has reduced the Total Excess she has to pay, which is capped at $900. This is much lower as compared to $6,600 if she was not covered by CDW, giving her more peace of mind.
*Experienced drivers are drivers who are 23 - 69 years old, with 2 or more years of driving experience. On the other hand, young, inexperienced, and elderly drivers (YIED) are drivers who are under 23 years old, 70 years old and above, or have less than 2 years of driving experience.
