If you’re under 23 years old, 70 years old and above, or have less than 2 years of driving experience, you’ll be classified under the young, inexperienced, and elderly drivers (YIED) category.
Booking a vehicle as a driver can often bring its own set of worries, especially when it comes to accidents and their costs, which is why we’ve rolled out Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) options to provide the necessary financial coverage.
All vehicle categories except Luxury and Plus Electric
Below, you'll find a table that shows the CDW coverage available to you when driving any GetGo vehicle, excluding the ones in the Luxury and Plus Electric category.
The Total Excess includes Own Damage Excess (S1) and Third Party Excess (S2).
As a young, inexperienced, and elderly driver without CDW, driving all GetGo vehicles except the ones in the Luxury and Plus cateogies, your Total Excess would be $11,000. This will include S1 and S2, both at $5,500 each.
However, by choosing the Standard CDW, the S1 and S2 are lowered to $2,750 each, which brings your Total Excess down to $5,500.
If you opt for the Enhanced CDW, it decreases the S1 and S2 to $2,250 each, lowering your Total Excess even further to $4,500.
However, this is different if you choose to drive a Luxury and Plus Electric GetGo vehicle. Let’s refer to the table below.
Without CDW, the Total Excess for driving a Luxury and Plus Electric GetGo vehicle stands at $16,500. This is calculated by adding both S1 and S2 together, which are $8,250 each.
By selecting the Standard CDW, you can reduce the S1 and S2 to $4,125 each. This brings your Total Excess to $8,250.
For the highest level of coverage, choosing the Enhanced CDW lowers the S1 and S2 to $3,635 each, reducing your Total Excess to $7,250.
