You are required to report an accident to our appointed Accident Reporting Centre (with the assistance of our Support Team), regardless of the severity of the accident. Failing to report an accident will result in you receiving a non-reporting notice from our insurer or the Traffic Police for hit-and-run.
In addition, if you fail to report and a third party involved in the accident has submitted their report, you will lose all insurance coverage. This means that you will need to bear the full cost of the accident and any incidental clause arising out of the accident as stipulated — which includes any legal claims made by the third party.
After an accident, our Support Team will do the following:
-
Reach out to you through your registered email address and/or mobile number.
-
Guide you with making your accident report
-
For hit-and-run cases: Guide you with lodging a Traffic Police report (mandatory)
-
Temporarily ban your GetGo account
Please keep in mind that our insurer will assess the liability of the accident, and any charges will be applied in accordance with our Insurance Excess.
For more information, you may refer to our terms and condition under Clause 4.4c, 4.4g, 4.4h, 4.5 and Schedule 2.
